ಕಿರು ಪರಿಚಯ

Malavika Bharadwaj is a classically trained singer. She has been learning and practicing music for the last 20 years. She has been under the guidance of T S Vasundhara, H Geetha and Tirumale Shrinivas. She has been awarded several awards like "Gaana kogile", "Dr Rajkumar prashasti", "Kuvempu award" from the state government of Karnataka. She has also competed in several national level programs.

Taking music as her profession, she has 6 years of experience serving as the cultural head of reputed institutions like Kumarans school and college and JSS Mahavidyapeetha in Bangalore.

She has had the fortune and privilege to perform and collaborate alongside wonderful and talented Indian vocalists Vijay Prakash, Karthik, Supriya Raghunandan, Praveen D Rao and Anoop Seelin.
She also had opportunies in track singing for several Kannada movies.

She relocated to Dublin, Ireland in April 2018. In Ireland, she performed at the following forums and events:

• A fusion experimental music organised by the discovery gospel choir at the Dublin city centre.
  
  
• Solo carnatic classical concert organised by ICMSI(Indian classical music society of Ireland)
  
  
• Collaborated with Irish musicians to perform contemporary music in the interfaith centre in DCU(Dublin City University).
  
  
• Performed for 3rd annual intercultural day celebration organised by Fingal ethnic network, Dublin.
  
  
• She also had the privilege to sing for Shree Thyagaraja Aradhana and Purandara Dasa aaradhana organised by Irish Kannadigara Sangha which was reported and published by the Deccan Herald.
  
  
• She performed in a few cultural events organised by south Indian cultural event organisations like IKS(Irish Kannadigara Sangha), ITWA () and many more.

Now that she has moved to Sydney in 2019, she has started her latest venture, Raaga Music Academy.

Raaga music academy is starting a new batch of Carnatic and light music classes in Canterbury, Sydney, NSW and is also facilitating online classes. If you are a music enthusiast, here is an opportunity knocking at your door to learn.

Malavika Bharadwaj is looking forward to spread the essence and aesthetics of Carnatic classical and light music to all music enthusiasts with a structured approach towards learning music and making it easy and fun for all aged 5 years and above
